Meat Pies
1 lb. ground pork pinch of ground cloves
1 lb. ground beef salt, black & cayenne pepper to taste
1 cup chopped green onions 4-1/4 cups flour
1 chopped bell pepper 1/2 cup melted shortening
1/4 cup chopped parsley 2 tsp salt
2 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce 2 eggs
1 Tbsp lemon juice 1 cup milk

Brown meats then add onions, bell pepper and parsley and cook 5 minutes.  Remove from heat.  Add Worcestershire and lemon juice and mix well.  Add 1/4 cup flour and mix.  Add a little water if mixture is dry.

Prepare crust: Cut shortening into flour, then add the eggs and milk.  Shape into a ball and refrigerate 2 hours.  Roll out and cut round shapes.  Place meat mixture in circle, then flip half over to form a half circle.  Seal ends together with a fork.  Prick holes on to with fork.  Fry in hot oil or bake at 350 degrees until golden brown.
